If you're like me and have been dieting for a while, you've convinced yourself that sucking down gallons of diet pop is a great idea. It tastes yummy, there are no calories, and many boast that they're low sodium! So they must be okay, right? WROOOOONG. They are nothing but water and chemicals. I've come up with a much better, healthy, clean beverage that I actually prefer. If they sold it in restaurants, I'd probably give up pop completely! I seriously drink almost a gallon of this yummy infused water every day, and it takes two minutes or less to make. I use strawberries in mine, but you could use pretty much any berry or cucumbers.
Ingredients
15 frozen strawberries
Water
What?! That's it?? Yep! That's it! I buy the 4 lb bags of frozen strawberries at Walmart.
Just throw 15 or so in the bottom of a gallon-sized pitcher.
Fill with cold water. Put in the fridge and let sit overnight. The longer it sits, the yummier it is. My kids even love it!
I bought a big plastic pitcher at Walmart with a lid that has an opening with slats in it to keep the strawberries from falling out when you pour it. You can either eat the strawberries or throw them away when the water is gone. We feed ours to our pet bunnies. :)
